Personal highlights for her so far including getting hand-picked by Snoop Dogg to accompany him on stage during the YouTube Brandcast in May 2013 Niykee has maintained her songwriting regimen despite the whirlwind of recent times. At present, she is a magnet to aspiring artists, she is constantly looking over beats sent her way and realizes that most are able to spark song ideas. She states that she can tell if the beat is a good one in less than 5 seconds. After that, a fresh song will pop into her mind. I sit on my back porch with my guitar and lyrics just come and usually it's finished in just 30 minutes. Niykee has found that her experiences from her past provide an endless source of motivation. She says that even when she is not writing about the things which were actually taking place, all of her pain through her childhood and losing her younger sister makes its way into the music. It shapes my songs and builds this deeper understanding behind all things that's among the most significant things that I value. It is important to me to realize that I could hear any of my songs 20 years later and feel proud of the things I said.
