Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal activist and a writer, who has won numerous awards. Her movies are Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). Her family was an artist family in New York and wanted to pursue a career in artistic fields. She started as a photo assistant later moved into acting and modeling. The actress was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 1990 for being an aspiring young actor. MacGraw became an international star after her 1970 movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. After just three short films she was deemed one of the most successful women film in the history of box offices. In 1972, her foot-prints along with her signature were recorded on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. She has starred in several other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among other. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers was published. MacGraw has been married three times.
